As well as being the Managing Director of Studio Lime, Alex is an accomplished Project Architect and has been chartered since 2008.

He has worked on a wide range of building types in the UK, including university projects, cultural buildings, primary education projects and masterplanning. In his role as Project Architect he is responsible for developing initial design proposals with client bodies, coordinating design teams and liaising with statutory authorities and contractors.

Emma is RIBA chartered Project Architect, with a breadth of experience in project delivery. She has a particular emphasis towards heritage and conservation projects and is currently working toward becoming a Conservation Architect.

She joined Studio Lime in 2016 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University. She has a breadth of experience in the education sector whilst also working on many residential and commercial projects.

Kate is an experienced Project Architect who has developed a breadth of knowledge and skills from working on a range of commercial and domestic schemes. She is also a certified Passive House Designer.

Kate has comprehensive experience of each stage of the building process with a particular strength for delivering complex designs through the construction phase. Kate believes that good architecture is derived from a holistic approach, which brings together a well considered building fabric, interior spaces, connections to the landscape and a contribution to the wider surroundings.

Matt is a Senior Architect, with a career that has included large and small practices across the world. He has worked at the offices of Ken Yeang, Will Alsop and Percy Thomas, as well as running his own practice for many years.

He was heavily involved in such well known national projects as the Peckham Library, the Wales Millennium Centre and the Royal Mint visitors Centre.

Ben is an Architect with a diverse background spanning both small-scale residential design and larger practice environments. With a keen eye for materiality and a strong commitment to sustainability, Ben is dedicated to creating thoughtful, responsive designs. He takes a sensitive approach to materiality, ensuring each project resonates with its context while achieving practical and innovative solutions. Ben believes that great design should balance creativity with respect for its surroundings, always considering both the long-term impact and immediate needs of the project.

Chanel is a recently qualified Architect

Chanel is a recently qualified Architect who has four years’ experience in the architectural industry prior to qualifying.  She completed her RIBA Part II & III studies at the University of the West of England (UWE) where she developed an interest in sustainability, educational and re-use projects. Prior to studying at UWE, Chanel lived and worked in Hereford where she was involved in the design of the new university: New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) including innovative learning and living spaces.

Chanel has worked at Studio Lime since 2022 on a range of educational, residential and workplace projects of various sizes and stages. She completed the RIBA certified Principal Designer course and is supporting the managing director with the practice’s sustainability certification.

An experienced Part 2 architectural assistant, Lewis joined Studio Lime Architects in 2023 after graduating from The University of the West of England in 2018. He has a range of experiences in placemaking, residential and conservation from urban to human scale.

Lewis has a determined work ethic with a particular interest in community and socially conscious development. He reinforces his practice with tutoring first year architecture students at The University of the West of England. He is fluent in graphical drafting in 2D and 3D with a passion for accessible and concise communication.

Jonny is a Part 2 Architectural Assistant and graduated his Masters with a 1^st Class from the Welsh School of Architecture (Cardiff University). During his time there he developed an interest for collaborative approaches and explored how community engagement can be integrated within early design stages to enhance the sense of belonging for the end user. Jonny believes that architecture is about using flexible design with a form of ‘looseness’ that enables users to adapt and inhabit their spaces.

Jonny joined the team in summer 2024 and is currently assisting the Studio Lime team with the design of interior fit outs, extensions, and refurbishments of existing buildings.

Piers is a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, he graduated from Edinburgh University in 2022 with a 1^st class MA (hons) in Architecture. He worked during his studies and upon graduating for a practice in Edinburgh, gaining experience in the residential/commercial sector.

Piers joined the Studio Lime team in early 2024 and will be assisting the Architects in delivering various projects from conceptual stages through to construction with drawing packages, CGI’s and admin support. Building his experience before continuing his studies for his RIBA Part 2 and 3 through work.

Holly is a RIBA Part 1 Architectural Assistant who joined Studio Lime in 2024 after graduating from the University of the West of England (UWE) with a 1^st class BSc (Hons) in Architecture. Her final year project was a re-imagined community centre with a focus on public wellbeing as well as sustainability. At UWE’s Degree Show 2024, she received the award for a Highly Commended Technical Proposal for her final graduate work.

Jack is a recent graduated with an MEng in Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Nottingham. Jack started at Studio Lime Architects in 2023 and his role is to support the Project Architects with graphical drawings and 3D animation.

Jack is currently working on the drawings for external welfare areas as part of a project for Airbus along with helping to prepare elevations for a 9 house development in Wedmore.
